Shared Practices
Here are some shared examples of how the HAA materials were used in the community:
GENERAL
- Harbor Distributing reached out to the Orange County chapter or Big Brothers Big Sisters and encouraged the organization to provide HAA materials and training to all of their mentors in April during Alcohol Awareness Month. Additionally, materials will be used in year-round in training with the mentors and will be include in Big Brothers Big Sisters new mentor registration kits.
- State ABC provides materials at the state fair
- Local non-profit provides at health & wellness seminar for Girls Night Out
- Provided to parents of students taking driving courses - both within school and in private instruction (Teen Driving & Alcohol)
- New Student Orientation, Provided to all incoming freshmen (College & Alcohol)
- Available at doctor's offices for parents
- Parent Teacher Association meetings, local/state/regional organizations
- Local police provide prevention seminars to parents about alcohol
- Schools sends home to parents (Spring Break, Prom/Grad)
- Local beer distributor provides at key sponsorship events
- Link to the materials are placed on organization website for a quick click to order of books
